Austin, TX (Burnet) - Night Vision Blast (March 22, 2025)

  • March 22 - March 22, 2025
About this Course

Night Vision Blast

This is it, we’re “Going Dark”.

The course for the modern shooter that wants to own the night. Join us for training on the modern systems used by the most elite military and law enforcement units. All the cool devices you’ve only ever gotten to play with in video games are here for you.

The Night Vision Blast Course is for shooters that want to experience what it’s like to shoot in complete darkness with the aid of modern night vision goggles (NVGs) and thermal imaging devices. You can push your skills to the limit as we learn the fundamentals of shooting using NVGs, thermals, Infrared (IR) laser systems, and IR optics while engaging targets in total darkness. This is a one evening course that will begin in the late afternoon

Don’t own any night vision equipment? No problem. We are bringing all the gear (including ammo) you just need to bring a positive attitude.

What if I have my own night vision equipment? You are welcome to attend. Bring all your gear. Make sure you have your night vision device, a way to mount it to your head (either helmet or head harness), and 200-300 rounds for your weapon system. Only 7.62mm and below will be permitted. See supplemental packing list if you would like to shoot your own weapons system.

Topics Covered

Topics Covered:

  • Night vision device skills
  • Thermal device skills
  • Infrared (IR) laser device skills
  • Night vision marksmanship with iron sights and electronic optics
  • Simulated fire experience in a shoot house environment

The course will begin in the afternoon with some equipment familiarization during daylight hours and some basic daylight marksmanship skills. We will train until nightfall (around 8 PM) with a break for everyone to eat an evening meal. Once the sun goes down the Night Vision Blast begins with opportunities to engage targets with these state-of-the-art systems on the range and even take on targets with friends in a shoot house with simulated ammo for the full SpecOps experience. Each participant will get to shoot approximately 200-300 rounds of live fire. Like the name says, it’s gonna be a BLAST!
