I have really enjoyed the virtual training material.
I wasn’t able to make it to the live training but the virtual option has been fantastic. Very easy to go through and enjoyable to watch. The information, teaching style and the hints and tips help a gun owner grow their skills without any of the intimidation or yelling that you might see from some other trainer or instructor outfits.

This course has a lot of great information in it. There's something for everyone, from basics to advanced skills. I like that it's broken down into different videos so you can start, stop or replay just the parts you want to. Tim does a great job at explaining how and why to do things. I highly recommend this course.

I had been looking into official carbine training for a while, but in-person classes were closed due to COVID19, so finally decided to sign up for this course with very little expectation as this is an online course...
First, get the course, you will not regret it...
Second, very well made course. There are 16 video modules, walking you through the basic of the basics, fundamentals, remediation actions, approaches, and the mentality behind driving a carbine effectively. If you are complete beginners, this course will build your fundamentals, and plus more. Watch it, come out practice hands-on with your carbine, come back and review the course videos again, rinse and repeat...
Third, the information is presented in a concise-approach, no blabbering nonsenses; every minute is packed with useful information and worth the money. The potential downside is the information is quite compact so rewatching/reviewing is recommended. Also, each video is not dragging on for an hour, most of them are 10-30 minutes; the course in total is approximately 2 hours...
Fourth, as a graduate student, I can testify that Tim is an effective teacher. There are many expert shooters and operators out there (aka educated specialist), but that does not make them good teachers, who can transfer the knowledge effectively. Tim can transfer his knowledge effectively: he has the energy to deliver and the drive to energize the student. There is no BS like A, B, C are best gears or best approaches, either you do it my way or the door. Instead, Tim breaks down the thought process, multiple approaches, pros and cons, no condescending, no patronizing, just objective knowledge review and share his experience on how to best customize your guns, what are different ways to achieve the same objective.
Suggestions for improvement of this virtual training: (1) Have a downloadable course booklet or outlines with highlights of important concepts so students can print out and take notes while watching the video, that would be great; like a curriculum, a word or PDF document works fine, nothing fancy (2) After the Introduction and Gears modules, have a quick infographic videos (animated, maybe?) to introduce the anatomy of a carbine, the variety of them out there (average size barrel, SBR) and some common calibers for first time carbine users.
My next step will be saving up to take the Carbine and Sheep Dog Level 1 courses in person when this quarantine is over; spending half the budget on boomsticks plus fireworks, and the other half on the training.

As a beginner, and as person that has had a weapon in his hand since he was out of the womb...... for all that I have ordered, thank y'all, and as a cat that grew up in the streets that favored liberty, individualism, self-protection, and had cousins that grew up around the "REAL" Oakland liberty front, this'll take some time, but it's @ll good May God be with us all, Thank you, Tim and all...
