About this Course

Bow Provider Course

You asked for it, we PROVIDED.

On the heels of one of our most popular courses, Sheepdog Response is proud to offer the Bow Provider Course. Learn to hunt with one of the oldest and most effective systems known to mankind. Archery is a superpower that allows you to hunt stealthily and effectively. Extend your hunting season and learn the skills you need to become a successful bow hunter.

A true provider can hunt the land and bring the kill from the field to the table. The Bow Provider Course teaches the skills you need to hunt wild game and provide nutritious and delicious food for you and your family.

Develop your archery fundamentals at the legendary Archery Country in Austin, TX. Archery Country’s full service pro shop and climate controlled indoor pro range are at your disposal for the course. You’ll get the opportunity to shoot the same amazing pro range as celebrities like Joe Rogan, Mike Judge, Colt McCoy, Jack Brittingham, and (of course) Tim Kennedy.

Learn hunting and game preparation from specialists and survival experts and gain the confidence you need to provide food without having to rely on supermarkets or others. Sheepdog Response will guide you through the process of ethically harvesting a kill, skinning, dressing, and preparing a meal for your family. Master the tools and skills utilized by hunters throughout history to sustain their families.

Don't just be a protector, be a PROVIDER.

About Bow Provider Course

Learn from some of the best instructors and professional hunting guides in the world, with decades of experience in hunting. You will spend the day learning to navigate, hunt, recover, and dress a kill to provide for you and your family safely and ethically. Survival experts will offer detailed instruction and demonstration on the techniques and then you will get the opportunity to test them out yourself in the field. You will learn the skills to provide food from land with confidence.

Students will get the chance to try out their gear, compare it to the gear used by professionals, and get their hunting questions answered by hunters with decades of experience.

Looking for a new bow?  We have arranged for special discounted complete bow packages from Archery Country that can be built to order and waiting for pickup at the course from top-of-the-line manufacturers like Hoyt Archery.

NOTE: Much of the class will be outdoors. Students will be required to hike on trails, over some rough terrain, and uphill for distances up to a kilometer.

NOTE: This course is intended for high powered, high velocity, hunting class compound or traditional bows (40+ pounds). Lower powered target shooting bows will be permitted for the course but may not be authorized to hunt with in your state. Recreational bows not intended for hunting or fishing bows will not be permitted.

NOTE: Only FIELD TIPS (target type arrow tips without tines or blades) will be shot during the training. No broadheads or other types of arrow tips will be permitted for the course.

NOTE: Crossbows will be permitted for disabled hunters in accordance with most state laws. If you intend to train with a crossbow, you must be fully familiar with the manufacturers specifications and safety procedures for your weapon system. We recommend bringing any literature provided by the manufacturer with you to the course.
