About this Course

The Sheepdog Response Family Provider Course teaches the skills you need to hunt wild game and provide nutritious and delicious food for you and your family. Now you can get the entire family involved in the hunt and start young hunters off right with an early outdoors education.

Mothers and daughters, Fathers and sons, Mothers and sons, Fathers and daughters, grandmas, grandpas, nephews, nieces, cousins, bring the whole extended family for this awesome opportunity to bond outdoors.

Learn hunting and game preparation from specialists and survival experts and gain the confidence you need to provide food without having to rely on supermarkets or others. Sheepdog Response will guide you through the process of ethically harvesting a kill, skinning, dressing, and preparing a meal with your family. Master the tools and skills utilized by hunters throughout history to sustain their families.

Don't just be a protector, be a PROVIDER.

Learn from some of the best instructors in the world, with decades of experience in hunting. You will spend the day learning to safely and ethically navigate to, hunt, recover, and dress a kill to provide for you and your family. Survival experts will offer instruction and demonstration on the techniques and then you will get the opportunity to test them out yourself in the field. You will learn the skills to provide food from land with confidence.

Students will get the chance to try out their gear, compare it to the gear used by professionals, and get their hunting questions answered by hunters with decades of experience.

Adult and Junior hunters will get to shoot, navigate, track, harvest, and even leave with their Texas Hunters Ed qualification (a mandatory requirement to hunt in Texas if you were born after Sept. 2, 1971)

NOTE: Much of the class will be outdoors. Students will be required to hike on trails, over some rough terrain, and uphill for distances up to a kilometer.
