Morning
We will cover types of optics and their uses, “Glassing” (observing from long-range with binoculars or magnified optics), different weapon systems and the benefits/drawbacks of each, and how to accurately sight-in a system and calculate long-range shots to achieve a “one-shot, one-kill” ratio every time you pull the trigger. 

Afternoon
On the range you will put everything you learned into practical use. You will engage targets at progressively longer distances until you can confidently stretch your skills to their fullest potential. You will log real information about your weapon system that will give you a complete understanding of its capabilities and how you can best use it to take log-range shots, with confidence, to put food on the table and wipe varmints off the map.

• A pair of durable pants and a comfortable/durable shirt (avoid tank tops or low cut collars)
• Electronic Hearing Protection (to receive instruction while on the firing line)
• Protective Eyewear
• Rain Jacket (the event will go forward regardless of weather)
• Baseball cap or another hat with brim
• Notebook
• Pen

• Bolt-action or similar accuracy rifle system
• Bipod or shooting stick
• Magazines (if applicable)
• Binoculars (if desired)
• Shooting pads (if desired)
• Weapons Sling
• 100 rounds of ammunition 

• Individual First Aid Kit
• Tourniquet
• Sunblock
• Insect repellent

• Bring any food and any snacks you desire. Our lunch breaks will be short, so bring something that does. not require any preparation.
• Water bottle, hydration pack, or a refillable container to stay hydrated during the training.

• Please, do not drink alcohol the day/night before training, or during the course in between classes.
