Outside the waist or Concealed Carry Holster with Retention* Battle belts are also acceptable.
There are 2 types of holster retention; passive retention and active retention. Passive retention is a retention force that's inherent to a holster by virtue of its design and construction. A simple form-fitting Kydex holster is passive retention, which is all you need for this course. Active retention is user-actuated in that an active retention device has to be engaged, and that is NOT required for this course.
Light for your pistol if you have one
300 rounds Pistol Ammunition
Eye Protection (must be rated for shooting)
Ear Protection *Please bring extra batteries for your ear pro
**Magazine Pouches: Recommended but not necessary. Pockets work but are very slow.
***Sturdy Belt: This needs to be sturdy leather or reinforced nylon. Flimsy belts will not properly secure a holster. If you come with a belt that does not secure the weapon you will have to work off the table as well.
